Remember our friend, follower and volunteer Phil who was going to run an ultramarathon to raise funds for our
Phil has had a slight change of plan.
Instead of running one ultramarathon, he will now run two in two days!
He and his friend Philip are going to run the 84-mile length of Hadrian’s Wall, from Bowness on Solway to Wallsend, with an overnight stop halfway, on October 24-25 2020.
Just take that in!
42 miles run each day
He has offered to keep us updated and maybe do pictures and a short blog from along the way, an offer we avidly accept with much anticipation.
It’ll be tough but we’re really looking forward to it. I’ve kept myself ticking over during lockdown with 35-40 miles a week but I’ll need to step up the training now!”
It’s for a great cause – the Galilee Foundation, which provides vital educational opportunities for young #Palestinians. And I’m doing it in memory of my beautiful friend Ian, who also changed thousands of young lives for the better.”
Phil’s motivation, in his own words
“I have been overwhelmed by people’s generosity in sponsoring me, but if you haven’t yet, just follow the link!”
Please do support Phil with a donation. Young, talented, impoverished Palestinians will need help more than ever to access Higher Education after the economic ravages of Covid 19.
