ABOUT THE GALILEE FOUNDATION
The Galilee Foundation is a UK-based charity established in 2007. We support scholarships
and educational programmes for disadvantaged Palestinian youth in Israel, as well as,
increasingly, in the West Bank and Gaza. Our mission is to empower underprivileged
Palestinian youth by giving them the tools and skills needed to help them become changemakers in their society.
Job Purpose
The Events Organiser plays a key role in delivering a series of impactful and educational
events that deepen public understanding of Palestine and the work of the Galilee
Foundation. Events have already been planned, including film screenings, Nakba exhibitions,
showcases of Palestinian cities, discussions on Palestinian citizens of Israel, and book
launches. The postholder will be responsible for their smooth and professional delivery.
The role involves ensuring each event is well executed, engaging, and aligned with the
Foundation’s mission to educate the public about Palestine. The Events Organiser will
manage logistics, liaise with partners and venues, coordinate volunteers and suppliers, and
ensure all activities are delivered on time, on message, and within budget.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to
detail, and a passion for raising awareness of Palestinian culture, history, and society through
meaningful public engagement
