Virtual Supper Club with Award-winning Palestinian Chef Reem Kassis on Saturday 11 April 2020

Join us as Reem Kassis makes a simple but delicious ‘Butternut Squash Fatteh’ from her upcoming cookbook!

You can download the full list of ingredients here.

19:00 UK time: Join us on Instagram Live for a Q&A with Reem as she adds the final touches to the meal.

19:15 UK time: We will then sit down with Reem at a Virtual Supper Club on Zoom to eat, laugh & drink together (you must first register for this if you would like to join).

We’ve never done this before but we guarantee it will be fun especially if you, like us, miss eating and connecting with people.

While this is a free event and we want people to connect, enjoy and learn about Palestinian culture, we would greatly appreciate if you could take a moment to read about our Covid 19 appeal. Right now, several of our students and their families in Palestine have no income due to the corona virus shutdown so let’s all come together and help.

Reem Kassis is a Palestinian writer. Her debut cookbook The Palestinian Table was nominated for a James Beard award, short-listed for the Andre Simon Award and the Edward Stanford Award, and won The Guild of Food Writers First Book Award. It was also named one of NPR’s best books of 2017 and featured in the NYTimes, Washington Post, FT, CNN, HuffPost, LA Times, SF Chronicle, and The Guardian among others.

Born and raised in Jerusalem, Reem holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Wharton and an MSc in social psychology from The London School of Economics. A former McKinsey consultant, today Reem is using the power of food and storytelling to share the Palestinian narrative with the world. Reem is based in Philadelphia with her husband and two daughters and is working on her second cookbook about the evolving and cross cultural food of the Middle East.

Please register below if you would like to join our Virtual Supper Club on Zoom. If you just want to watch the Cooking Q&A on Instagram Live, you do not need to sign up.  Please note we will send you the list of ingredients and what you will need to prep before hand ❤
